Ski Conditions

Yesterday a group of ADVG student went to the top of the moraine on the way up to Saphire Col. We started skiing at 2000 meters. Probing on our way up pass the mouse trap, we observed an HS between 120cm and 110 cm.

Minor cracking got observed near the top of the ridge, no reaction to skier traffic. No new avalanches observed.

A test profile at 1900 meters showed the Nov 17 interface 60 cm down given a CTM 15 RP. Snow pack was very faceted and foot pen was still 70 cm. Good skiing overall.

Sincerely,

Fred
