The Icefields Parkway will close, from Parkers Ridge to Saskatchewan Crossing beginning Friday, March 14th by noon.

These closures are implemented to manage an anticipated, significant temperature increase throughout the Jasper National Park forecast region. This will elevate the hazard and likelihood of large avalanches. If conditions dictate the Parkway may reopen by 8:00 pm.

These closures will mean no access to all Ice Climbs on Cirrus Mtn (Weeping Wall) to Mt Wilson.

Immediate Road closures, conditions, and openings are available on https://511.alberta.ca/
