I spent the last week guiding in Clayoquot Sound. We hiked a couple of trails.
On Vargus Island the NW Side trail from Dick and Janes/Mels Beach to Little Baha (the Fingers) is now clipped and in great coastal hiking shape.
We also went up Lone Cone from the newish commercial camp at Kakawis. Its well maintained and marked. Some big logs are still crossing the trail at mid point. Kind of like a Grouse Grind for the Tofino area.
