Climbing Conditions

Climbed Bourgeau Left today with Nic Bussieres. We had a late start and were pleasantly surprised to have the climb to ourselves. Overall, the climb is in fine shape. The lower pitches were wet and plastic and Gore Tex was nice to have. The last pitch was dry and had some sun affect and fragile mushroom features which made it feel full value. Good screws could be found with some digging.

The forecasted overcast skies held for most of the day keeping things frozen in place. On our descent we had about 30 minutes of sun and things started to warm up quickly. This wouldn't have been a good place to be if the sun had been out today.

We used the new rappel stations with a single 60m rope which worked out great.

Bourgeau Right looked to be touching down, but thin...
