Climbing Conditions

Climbed North and Centre Goodsirs Jul 18-20 for Alpinism.com. Started with a flight to the Sentry-Zinc col just outside the park. From there we traversed below south Goodsir along the treeline and ascended the gully below centre Goodsir to a high bivy at 3040m. No overnight freeze on the 18th but travel on snow along sections of the horizontal V and in the upper gully on Goodsir north was excellent. Good firm neve. Only witnessed a little rockfall but was expecting more given the terrain and horrendous rock.

Centre Goodsir west ridge and SW face was dry.

We walked out today from our high bivy to stagging area along the Ice Main Road. The flowers were in full bloom, and so was the alder ?
Bring extra shoes for the wet flats described in Bill Corbetts book.

South tower is very close to being completely snow free.
