Climbing Conditions

Drove from Banff to Bow Summit and back today. Last night’s storm dropped a lot of snow. Although distribution was a bit inconsistent you should anticipate significant amounts of new snow down to 2700 m, especially on north aspects. As of 4.30 pm all the classic Lake Louise alpine routes still looked plastered. Amounts lessened further east and north but the summit of Castle and the upper part of Hector still had snow. Further south the Sunshine area looked like it may have had the most accumulation.
