Climbing Conditions

Hello Everyone,

My guest (BV) and I climbed the N & central Goodsirs on Tues August 16th. The horizontal V on the N tower was in great condition with use able snow where you need it the most, a good freeze is key as there are a couple of active water falls running across the route when it warms up, good drinking water but rock fall central. There is a 4 pin anchor on top of the short 5th class section and only a small selection of mid size cams were used through out both climbs

We bivied at 2650m on about the only flat spot up there which was quick access to both peaks and had drinking water 20m away.

The trail in is definitely getting bushy, someone has cut the major dead fall out on the 1st km, I had a bush saw and did some cutting higher up on the trail where needed the most. No animals were seen except for a friendly lone goat around the bivi site.

Very good positions on these peaks with wicked relief on the East faces and yes the rumors are true.........very loose rock!
