Highway avalanche control
Significant snowfall is forecasted along the Icefields Parkway (Highway 93) through Sunday.
Beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1st the Icefields Parkway will be closed for avalanche control work from Athabasca Falls (30 km south of Jasper) to Saskatchewan River Crossing (152 km south of Jasper).
The Icefields Parkway is expected to reopen the evening of Saturday, February 2nd.

Prévention des avalanches sur les routes
De fortes chutes de neige sont prévues le long de la promenade des Glaciers (route 93) d’ici dimanche.
À compter de 10 h le vendredi 1er février, la promenade des Glaciers sera fermée aux automobilistes des chutes Athabasca (à 30 km au sud de la ville de Jasper) jusqu’à Saskatchewan River Crossing (à 152 km au sud de la ville de Jasper) pour permettre des travaux de déclenchement préventif des avalanches.
La promenade des Glaciers devrait rouvrir à la circulation au cours de la soirée du samedi 2 février.
