Climbing Conditions

I guided one guest today at King Creek. There were no other parties. At 0700h temp at the car was 2c. At 1400h temp at the car was 5c.

We were able to climb 4 different lines today. King Creek Main afforded a centre, a right line, and the far right King's Corner. The first pitch of King's Groove (on the right just past the narrows) was also climbed. The short wall has no ice. Protection was fairly limited to 10s and a few 13s. We were thankful for bolt and tree anchors today, and a 70m rope to rappel the main centre line. Threading would have been very challenging.
