Climbing Conditions

I guided an ascent of Goodsir South Tower July 26-28. We started from a heli drop at the Sentry-Zinc Col, and a high bivy at treeline in Zinc Creek. The southwest ridge was dry and we did not require crampons or axes. We did not witness and natural rockfall, which was our main concern.
We hiked out via Zinc Creek to Ice River.

Goodsir North and Central tower looked to be in good shape.

The rock quality on Goodsir South and the bushwack down Zinc Creek to the Ice River was truly awful. Oh, and the mosquitoes were relentless.
