Climbing Conditions

As a follow up to observations made a few days ago, reports from parties doing the West Face bypass on Sir Donald state there is one snowpatch that is unavoidable. It was recommended to have an ice axe and possibly crampons if the snow was firm. The parties crossed in the afternoon when the snow had softened up, but if it is a cooler day or if there is a solid freeze overnight, be prepared for hard snow.
