Columbia Mountains - Sir Donald Conditions

Glacier National Park, Rogers Pass

Climbing Conditions

We were able to get a good look at Sir Donald today. The NW Ridge was climbed on July 1st and is mostly dry, snowpatches on the north side can be avoided by staying on the ridge crest. Considerable amounts of snow remain on the South face bypass. Uto looks dry. The Sir Donald bivy site is still under snow but the outhouse and bear bins are snow free and there is plenty of water available.
