Ski Conditions

A warm and wet day on the parkway. As forecast, temperatures were above zero. Alternated between light rain and flurries all day.

If you stepped off an established track, the snow pack was unsupportive isothermal to ground. We observed loose wet and slab avalanches up to size 2 on all aspects, and heard (but couldn't see) many roaring ones up high.

We avoided all avalanche terrain and instead did some companion rescue practice and went for a valley bottom walk.
