Parks Canada is planning avalanche control for Mt Field and Mt Stephen in Yoho NP and the Simpson Slide Paths in Kootenay NP. Access to these areas will be closed on Wednesday January 2nd, 2019. This includes all ice climbs on Mt Stephen and the Mt Field Ski Tour.
